Happy 6 months Juliet

Juliet turned 6 months old today! Here are some pictures to show you what she has been up to :)

Petting the cat, Quest is so good with her and puts up with a lot of pulling of his tail and fur

Juliet now sees when daddy is eating apples and wants to lick the apple core!

She wants to stand and sit up like a big girl all the time now and has really good balance standing if she is holding on to something.

At her 6 month doctor's appointment she was 17 pound, 26 inches, and her head was 16 1/2 inches, that puts her in the 75% for weight, 60% for height, and 50% for head size :) The doctor says she is doing great and to keep doing what I have been doing with food b/c she is growing and thriving.

Juliet's Baptism

On 2/13/11 Juliet was Baptized at New hope Church. Here are so pictures from the day

The dress she wore is 55 years old and John, Brian, and their Aunt Helen all wore it for their Baptism

Juliet really like the Holy water and did not want to stop slashing in it! She loves bath time and water so I'm not surprised he had a lot of fun getting baptised

Juliet's First Superbowl

We were so sad the Steelers lost the Superbowl but we still cheered our hearts out for them. Here are pictures from our weekend with Travis, Beth, and Annalise.

12 hours of sleep OMG, she did it :)

For the first time EVER Juliet slept 12 straight hours without waking up from 7PM-7AM. WOO HOO. For a long time she has only been getting me up once a nice between 3-5am but has never slept striaght through the night until now. GO JULIET! Well rested babies are happy babies.

5 1/2 Months

Things you should know about Juliet

• She is obsessed with the Cats
• She has about 100 different facial expressions
  
• She likes to headbutt me, daddy, and the cats
• If you kiss her on her belly she will laugh!
• She loves kisses in general and lots of attention from mommy & daddy! She also wishes Quest the cat would pay more attention to her
  
• She likes to do things herself (like putting the spoon her her mouth when she gets her solids) which makes for a mess at meal time
• Just loves anything that plays music or lights up
• She can show her dramatic side at times
• Is a fan of "Power" naps
  
• She has definitely found her voice and often squeals very loudly!
  

Juliet has tried the following foods: Sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, prunes, green beans, bananas and she LIKES the following foods: Sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, prunes, green beans, bananas :) She seems to like everything so far, maybe I won't have a picky eater (like I was as a kid!)

Juliet has started something new where she sticks her butt up and gets on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. So cute! I think she wants to crawl really bad but she is not quite strong enough yet but once she is crawling I know who she is going after, Quest the cat. She tries so hard to "chase" him can only turn herself and roll.

Happy 5 months Juliet

My little girl is growing up so fast. We went to the doctors on Monday and Juliet is already up to 15 pounds.

We went to Storyville last Sunday with some friends and Juliet had a great time playing with all the other babies, here she is practicing sitting up

Juliet started turning on her mobile on her own a few weeks ago with her feet and I decided to video tape it so enjoy :)

What's new in Juliet's world???

Well I think Juliet will be an Animal lover b/c not only does she love the animals on her Mobile but now she is obsessed with the two cats. She has seen me pet them and now she pets them also, (at times pulls there hair but we are teaching her not to do that!)

She is getting better with her nap times and bedtime sleep. She has been pretty consistence with her daytime naps and is in a much better mood in the evenings because of it. She usually takes three one hour naps and is in bed from 7PM-7am (but still gets up once for a snack from mom)

Juliet has also learned how to sit on her own for a few minutes! After a minute or two of sitting on her own she usually rolls down to her back.

We are still working on solids, she has had rice cereal and sweet potato's so far and seems to really like the sweet potato's. I think more of it gets on her bib then in her tummy but we are trying to teach her how to eat off a spoon but really it not a big deal if she does not get it yet b/c the don't really need to start solids till 6 months but the doctor said we could start now if we wanted.

Juliet's new favorite things is to use her bouncer that Grandma Barb gave the last time we were in Pittsburgh, there is a video of her having fun in it below!
