Doctor Doctor, I'M 2!

Juliet had her 2 year check up today and I can say it was the best behaved she has ever been at the doctors, she let him look in her ears, eyes, and listen to her heartbeat without a fight. She normal is a screaming/crying mess. What a big brave girl she has become. We also just started her in a home day care for three days a week about two weeks ago and it has been a little hard on me! She is adjusting but I am just so sad to see her go to daycare some days because work is busy and we had more time to spend together in the summer. Boo hoo.

At the doctors we got her height and weight stats which are not that different from last time.

Juliet's weights: 26 pounds (50th Percentile)
Juliet's height: 35 1/2 inches (90th percentile)

She seems to be doing fine developmentally and has hit all her "milestones" fine so we are just enjoying her emotional two's and the crazy vocabulary explosion that seems to be happening everyday.

Happy 2nd Birthday Juliet! I LOVE YOU!

We had a great Birthday Weekend with Juliet! Here are some of the pictures from the birthday party we had for her. She had a blast and so so excited that everyone sang to her and loved eating the birthday cake. It was a great day and I am so thankful our family and friends could make it so special.

We had a Carousel/carnival theme!

The beautiful cake made by Bonnie!

Beach and summer fun

It's raining it's pouring... Sorry I have not updated in a while but we have been busy with beach vacations and summer fun! Below are some of the things we have been up to.

Juliet has started to get into wearing her sunglasses and thinks she is super cool when she puts them on.

We went to the beach the first week of August for Ba Ba's 60th birthday and it was a blast. Juliet was a total beach bum and got to eat a lot of "fun" stuff like ice cream with her cousin Allison (she was so sweet to share!) and the boys gave her candy and fun slushy drinks. She also spent hours "swimming" in the pool and would cry when we would make her get out. It would get cold and she needed to eat so we were not trying to mean by taking her out of the pool but Juliet was not happy we did not let her swim for 12 hours straight. The beach life is for her!

Juliet loves to pretend to clean and we were eating dinner and she entertained herself with the duster for a long time while we finished dinner.

Off to the ocean with daddy! At first she was a little afraid of the ocean but not by the end of the trip.

Family photo!

By the end of the trip when Juliet wanted to go to the ocean she would say "Stay there mommy, I'll be right back." and I would reply "Where are you going?" "To the ocean. be back, one minute" she would say back with one finger up to sign the one minute. Really??? How old are you?

Beach Bums!

Juliet loved all the rides at the boardwalk

We went on the tilt-a-wirl, the balloon ride, the airplanes, the boats, the carousel, and much more!

On the boats all by herself! Big girl

We got stopped many times for people to tell us Juliet looks like Shirley Temple

The baby pool where Juliet though she could swim since it was only one foot deep an she could use her arms to move around

A night walk on the beach to look at the pretty moon

I had to drag her out of the pool to eat... She would have skipped meals if not!

Hanging with the boys
