Christmas & New Years!

We also spent New Year's at the Poconos with the Thomas family and the Abernathy family which was a lot of fun but tiring because Caleb was up at 5 o'clock the first day and 430 the second day which doesn't leave a whole lot of sleep for mommy! They all had fun though and the kids played really well together and we even got to get out to make a trip to the swimming pool. Caleb tried to dance with Annalise on New Year's Eve when we were playing the music he kept holding her hand and pulling her around and dancing with her he loves to dance! We had a really nice Christmas ! Juliet seem to be really excited about Santa this year and she came down the stairs and saw all the presents and the first thing she said was "Santa brought me my kid scissors!" Out of all the presents that someone that she saw first which was really cute because it was so simple. She also really enjoyed her telescope and her science kit Caleb got up very early Christmas morning earlier than everyone so mean him play downstairs with his toys laid out he pretty much picked everything that was for him and had me open it. I think he thought every morning should start like this is the next two mornings he got up really early and start to look for presents but there were none just the ones he already got! Barb also stayed with us for a little less a week during Christmas and we host a Christmas eve and my mom has to Christmas kids got to see both their grandparents or the fun. The kids also enjoyed playing with Barb's new dog Lily and now Caleb and Juliet seem more at ease around dogs when we are around them.  Lily also took a quick Christmas trip to our neighbors house but will shortly returned all is well that ends well! The last photos are juliet at the cat shelter we volunteer at together every other Tuesday!

Almost Christmas, What?

It has been a while since I have posted mostly because I get caught up in the everyday life things and this gets pushed down on my "to do" list. Here is an update on everyone




Caleb - He is a funny guy! always laughing and smiling until he really wants something then he pulls you over and screams at what he wants. I am hoping this gets better once he learns to talk! Oh how frustrating it must be not to be able to just say what you want. He also likes to be involved in everything. We had ginger bread house making at Juliet's friends Hapers house and Caleb wanted to do everything the girls were doing, he helped decorate the house and loved to be in the middle of things. John jokes that he will get married at 19 and start a family soon after because he loves to be around people so much and rarely likes to be alone... who is that like??? Maybe John Collins! ha ha. Caleb is a funny and so sweet and gives hugs and kisses whenever I ask for them. He also is starting to really love daddy and asks for him over me sometimes, small tear (see I thought we were best buddies)




Juliet - Always an easy going cool girl. She is just so easy and has a breezy way about her. She does hate to clean up and lets me know. "you know mom I just don't like to clean up my mess" and I say back to her "you know what I don't either but we have to do it or the mice and bugs will start to over run out house" you see she is like me in this way. I wish I was better at being organized and tidy but I am not. I do my best and "make myself" clean up but I agree with her I don't really want to. Maybe Juliet will be called a fun director in the future like I am by John! She is writing more words at school and learning her sight words to get ready for kindergarten. I can not believe she will be on a school bus and going to school for a full day next year. CRAZY!

Halloween and other fun stuff

Caleb and Juliet both had a great Halloween Caleb trick-or-treated for the first time and had a blast! He is such a happy guy and loves to do anything his sister does. A couple of Caleb's new words are duck, cup, milk, hot, hock (for hockey) and, grape & app (for apple!) 

John and I ran through the grapvine! Got 2nd place in my age :)

Dad shows Juliet how to make your own play dough and a circuit with led lights! 

We picked the last of our garden till next spring!
